Hi, my name is Derrek Tarter.
After four years of various sales and fabrication positions following my gradation from UWRF in 2016 my life path took a turn when I found a passion for Real Estate in early 2020. While the previous positions I’ve held have been different by nature, I’ve realized I’ve always been drawn to the same one thing. That one thing is seeking out a way to fulfill my internal need of helping people succeed. Looking back, I remember when I was supplying fasteners to the local businesses as the Hudson Fastenal Rep and managing the sales and production of one-off metalwork pieces for the custom home building industry. Regardless of my environment, my mission has always been putting the Client first. With Real Estate, I get to take it to the next level and I truly thrive off consulting and guiding my clients to victory during what is normally one of the largest transactions of their lives.
I grew up in Somerset where I spent my childhood enjoying the great outdoors as well as fueled my passion for football and hockey. I then attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Sales and to continue my love of the great game of Football. Through many years of athletics and thousands of hours shared with various teammates I truly learned and understand the value of Teamwork. Juggling school, athletics, job, and a social life during those years taught me to be efficient, open minded and competitive. Now in my Real Estate career, these tools and traits have come together to form the best version of myself.
